tl;dr — the no-cap version
  • We only collect what you send us, plus basic website analytics.
  • We use it to reply to you, run your project and improve the site.
  • We never sell your data, to anyone, ever.
  • Ask us any time to see, fix or delete what we hold about you.

The full version below is the one that counts.

Who we are

Digizee Ltd (“Digizee”, “we”, “us”) is a digital marketing agency registered in England & Wales. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which covers our website digizee.co.uk and the conversations you have with us.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at thedigizeeagency@gmail.com or on 07880 574635.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiries and audit requests: your name, work email, phone number, website address, budget range and anything you tell us about your business and goals.
  • Newsletter: your email address.
  • Job applications: your CV, contact details, where you are based, portfolio or LinkedIn link, and what you tell us in the application form, such as your experience, current role, right to work in the UK, salary expectation and notice period.
  • Calls, emails and messages: what you share with us when you get in touch.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, Google Analytics records how it is used: pages viewed, time on page, the website that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city level). See our Cookie Policy for the cookies involved.

When we run a project for you, we may also access data inside your own accounts (for example Google Ads, Analytics or your website). We handle that under the agreement we sign with you.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

  • To reply to enquiries and prepare audits and proposals: our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
  • To deliver the services you buy from us: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send our newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw with the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • To understand and improve the website: your consent to analytics cookies.
  • To assess job applications: our legitimate interest in recruiting, and steps towards a possible employment contract.
  • To keep records and meet legal duties such as tax and accounting: legal obligation.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

  • service providers who help us run the business and this website, such as website hosting, email and form tools, and Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), who may only use it to provide their service to us;
  • professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed;
  • authorities or regulators, when the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers, including Google, may process data outside the UK. When that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so your data stays protected to UK standards.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: for the length of our contract plus 6 years, to meet tax and legal requirements.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you agree to us keeping them longer.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data, or restrict how we use it;
  • stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests, and stop direct marketing at any time;
  • send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent, where that is what we rely on.

Email thedigizeeagency@gmail.com to use any of these rights. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Keeping it safe

We use secure, access-controlled tools, limit who on our team can see your data, and only ask for access to your accounts when a project needs it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you and the ICO about a breach where the law requires.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for analytics. Our Cookie Policy explains which ones and how to control them.

Children

Our services are for businesses. This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised; significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
